How’s your 2014 so far?
Mine started out great but I’m really bummed right now because the final episode of Sherlock season 3 will be aired today. I’m so excited to see the last episode but I wish there will be more. I know there will be a 4th season but it’s still sad because the 3rd season ended so soon. 😦
I’m also bummed because the weekend is ending and midterm week will start this Monday.
Midterm week = Hell week
This means there will be lots of studying to do. Ugh.
But enough with being sad, today I started reading Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Everyone is raving about this book so my expectation is really high. I just hope the book doesn’t disappoint me.

Also, as promised I have a new feature for the blog called Popcorn Reviews. I thought really hard about what to name this feature but I ended up with a very lame name– Popcorn Reviews. But oh well. So, onto the deets about the new feature, Popcorn Reviews (gaah so lame!) is a feature where I will share to you my review of movies or TV series that are based on books. So even if they’re movie/TV series reviews, they are still book-related.
I do like watching movies, especially if they’re book-related. I already did one movie review back in 2013. I really enjoyed writing the review so I thought maybe I could do more of that this year.
Last Week on the Blog
- COVER REVEAL: Beckman’s Bane (Shaggy Maggie # 2) by Tyffani Clark Kemp
- Top Ten Tuesday #4: Top Ten Bookish/ Non-Bookish Goals For 2014
- Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth
- City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare
So how was your week? Any awesome books you read lately? Let’s chat, drop me a line below 🙂
Until next Sunday 😀
Good Luck on your midterms Farzy! I think Popcorn Reviews is awesome!!! I lie it 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my STS/Sunday Post 🙂
And thanks for stopping by mine 🙂
Popcorn Reviews sounds like a neat new feature! I love good movies and tv shows almost as much as I love books.
Yay! Glad I’m not the only one haha!
Popcorn Reviews is a great name – immediately makes me think of movies, and that’s what you want. I like the logo, too. As for the rest, I hope your midterm week goes (or is going, if it’s started) well, and that Cinder provides a good escape from the stress.
I really thought Popcorn reviews is lame but I am glad you all like it. Midterms week is not over yet but at least I have lots of time to read on the weekends
The TV and movie reviews sound good. Hope you enjoy Cinder, I haven’t read it as yet and will be interested to see what you think. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog.
Thank you. I will be posting my review of Cinder soon 🙂
I hope you enjoy Cinder. I loved it! And good luck on midterms. 🙂
I am very much enjoying Cinder, I hope the other books in the series is just as good.
I am so jealous that you are up to episode 3 of Sherlock! I am anxiously awaiting the series starting on PBS this Sunday.
Aww but I am sad it ended so soon 😦 anyway, Sherlock is now on PBS, have you watched it already? I hope you love it! 🙂
I hope you enjoy Cinder. I think the subsequent books get even better — they stay with the same main characters, adding new ones and incorporating new fairy tales.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Jen @ YA Romantics
A lot of people have been saying that the subsequent books are even better than Cinder, if so then I can not wait to read them!
Love your banners! I;ve been meaning to start this series. How is it?

Thank you 🙂 I am still on Cinder yet but so far I think the book was absolutely fantastic! I do hope you read this and love Cinder as much as I do.
Good luck on the midterms. Happy reading.
Thanks so much and happy reading too. 🙂
The .gifs on your blog today are truly inspiring.
Haha thanks. 🙂
I adore Sherlock but you’re right, we need more of it. At least there is another series planned.
YeH i am glad the news that there will be a fourth series is out, at least we know that whatever happens to the third series we know we won’t be left hanging for long.
I love to review movies!! I think that’s a good idea to add to your blog if you love it. I too love Sherlock and will be sad when this season is over. Though it’s only about to just air in US .. I think on Jan 19th?
Sunday Post
Yup it will air in the US in Jan 19, be prepared though because Sherlock is so awesome!
I always feel massive tears when Sherlock ends. 3 episodes is never enough, and seriously! How bloody awesome has season 3 been! God, drunk Sherlock may be the best thing ever.
I’m glad you’re starting Cinder! It’s an enjoyable read, though I totally loved Scarlet more, so definitely read Scarlet after okay? 😉
Thanks for sharing & stopping by Bookmunchies (:
Ps. I love your banners! The donut (and popcorn) looks yummy!
It is true that three episodes are never enough. I cant wait for season 4! I really love Srunk Sherlock, especially when he puked on the carpet 😂 aww glad you like my banners thanks so much. I will be sure to read Scarlet too 🙂
I haven’t watched season 3 of Sherlock yet because I’m ridiculous. Luckily, I have gotten no spoilers so I’ll have to find to watch the season in peace (I love Moriarty by the way). I’ve heard great things about Cinder as well and I expect it to be good. I mean it sounds amazing. I like the name Popcorn Reviews! Better than what I could ever name it. Have a great week!
You should definitely watch it because it is amazing! Cinder is pretty awesome too.
I don’t think popcorn reviews is a lame name, plus I think it will be a great feature. Looking forward to it!
Thanks so much. I am very excited for my very first Popcorn Reviews post 😃
There’s nothing wrong with the title Popcorn Reviews. 🙂 My kids love Sherlock. They can’t wait for it to come up on Netflix since we don’t have satellite or cable. Have a great week!
sherlock is awesome, no wonder it is a very well known tv series . Thanks for dropping by 🙂
I am eager for the movie (based on a book) that’s coming at the end of the month: Labor Day, with Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.
Yesterday I saw a movie based on a play: August: Osage County.
Enjoy! Here’s MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
That sounds like a great movie. I am going to check that out 🙂
I like your Popcorn Review feature and I don’t think that’s a lame name. I’ve reviewed a couple of book related movies as well. And will continue to do so probably. But not often. Good luck on your midterms!
