What will happen to the girl who has everything?
After a rough start to life, Shannon Downing finally has it all. She has her Mr. Notice Me, she has reconnected with her long-lost mother, and she is the sole heiress to a multi-billion dollar company. The only problem is going public with that information.
Hidden away at a ranch in Texas at her mother’s insistence, Shannon’s world starts to crumble. Not only does she learn of Maisy Field’s kidnapping, but she hears a secret that could destroy everything and everyone she loves.
What will happen when news comes out that she is the missing heiress to Downing International? Will she become the next target for the elusive kidnappers? And what about the secret she overheard? Will the love that she and Mr. Notice me share be enough to hold them together?
Embrace Me is a great romance book. It had me feeling giddy all over. The sequel to Notice Me is as great as the first book.
After Shannon had discovered who she truly was– the sole heiress to a billion-dollar company– she thought she already achieved her happily-ever-after but her past was constantly catching up to her. The Field family still made her anxious when they were around, Megan was still desperate to get back with Charlie and she was having a hard time adjusting to the blinding brightness of the limelights. And then one day, she discovered a secret that could potentially ruin her relationship with Charlie. Clearly, her happy ending wasn’t within her reach yet.
After all Shannon has gone through, she still managed to be strong and make it through it all. She has a really good heart, even though the Field family did horrible things to her in the past, she was still very kind to them.
The book has other great characters too. One of my favorites is Mac. At first he seems like a total jerk for being a womanizer but later in the story I realized that he’s just genuinely caring for the ladies. And there’s nothing wrong with that, right? I also love the fact that he loves his brother so much and would even take a bullet for him.
Charlie is a great guy too and not to mention he’s very sweet and loving towards Shannon, he is the perfect epitome of a great boyfriend.
Overall, Embrace Me is a great book and if you want a great romantic read then this book is for you.
Love is a painful thing, Shannon. Never forget that. Powerful love is the only thing that can make you weak.
