MUSING MONDAYS… is a weekly event where MizB will ask a book/reading-related question, and you answer with your own thoughts on the topic.

First of all, Happy Monday to all of you guys 🙂

Today I am going to muse about Paperback VS Hardcover.

I have both paperbacks and hardcovers in my book shelf but I only buy hardcover when I can’t find a paperback edition of a book or if I can’t wait for the paperback to be released.

Personally, I perfer the paperback to hardcover. When I read a book, I tend to bring my book with me everywhere I go and the paperback books make it more convenient. And they are cheaper too. I don’t see why I have to pay for a higher cost if I buy a hardcover when I can get the same book on a lower price when I buy a paperback.

Hardcovers are great too, it’s more durable than paperback and they’re more often printed on acid-free paper. But on the downside, it weights more. I remember in high school I borrowed a hardcover copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix from our school library and I was carrying it everywhere I go and it was so heavy!

How about you, which do you prefer? Hardcover or paperback?

Do you shop for books/ebooks at Amazon? Because I do. Well, not really shop like, buy books more like, I “hunt” for free ebooks on Amazon.

This morning I went on a “free shopping spree” again and downloaded way too many books than I could read. What can I say, when a book is free I just HAVE to downloaded it because maybe, just maybe I can find the time to read them, which won’t happen anytime soon because my TBR pile is monstrous as it is without adding the random books I’ve downloaded on Amazon.

Right now I have 40+ ebooks in my Kindle archive on my phone, some of them I’ve won in giveaways, some gifted, but most of them I’ve downloaded for free on Amazon.

I have a serious case of book hoarding, whether it’s physical books or ebooks and I don’t know how to stop it. Are you like this too or am I alone?

MUSING MONDAYS… is a weekly event where MizB will ask a book/reading-related question, and you answer with your own thoughts on the topic.

Happy Monday everyone! This week I’m going to muse about one of my reading habits. I didn’t develop this habit of mine until I began blogging.

Before I started blogging, when I finish a book, I don’t usually write a review and just go pick another book to read. But since I started running this blog, of course I have to write reviews, right? But sometimes I feel lazy and instead of writing a review, I go read the next book instead. And because of this habit, I now have to write eight reviews. Yesterday I finished writing my review of Confessions of an Angry Girl and right now I’m working on my review of Warm Bodies (the movie, not the book).

And I also got some galleys from Netgalley. One of which is Demigods and Monsters Expanded Edition by Rick Riordan. I’m a big fan of Riordan’s books and I was really happy to have my galley request approved. This also means more reviews to write!

I love reading and writing about the books I read, that’ why I made this blog but there are just days when I don’t feel like writing and just go on a boo binging.

I really hope I can finish writing all my eight reviews before the month ends.

How about you, what are your reading habits? Leave me a comment and also, the link to your Musing Monday post.

This week I am musing about a bok I’m currently reading– Adela Arthur and the Creator’s Clock by Judyann McCole.

Adela Arthur and the Creator's Clock (The Chronicles of A #1)To Whom Ever This May Concern;

I wish I could tell you the contents of this book were purely fictional. That I, Adela Arthur, was just a normal sixteen year old from Portland and that dragons, giants, elves and mermaids were just myths.  I wish these were legends shared from crazy old grandparents to crazy old grandparents around campfires. After all, that is what I used to believe.

I never would have thought they lived on the other side of our mirrors in a world called Cielieu. But they do…

I never would have thought there were humans, better known as Volsin that lived among them with the ability to create light from a single thought.  But there are…

I never would have thought I was one of them… But I am…

I am the last Arthur and I was brought to the human world after a Volsin, filled with greed, began to strip the light from our kind.

The human world was supposed to be a safe haven… but he’s found us and the only way to stop him is to go back to Cielieu and begin training as a student in the Elpida Castle of Light.

Like I said I wish the contents of this book were purely fictional and not my life…

This book reminds me of Percy Jackson and Artemis Fowl, two of my all-time favorite YA Adventure books. I’m still in the beginning of the book, I started reading it yesterday, but I’m really loving it and the cover of the book is really pretty. I think it suits the story pretty well. I hope I don’t get too busy this week with university stuff and finish this book within a day or two.

How about you, what are you currently reading?
