Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!
This week I’m musing about the book I’m currently reading. Last week, I mused about my Top 5 TBR Books and this week I am reading the second book on that list, Confessions of an Angry Girl by Louise Rozett.
Rose Zarelli, self-proclaimed word geek and angry girl, has some confessions to make
1. I’m livid all the time. Why? My dad died. My mom barely talks. My brother abandoned us. I think I’m allowed to be irate, don’t you?
2. I make people furious regularly. Want an example? I kissed Jamie Forta, a badass guy who might be dating a cheerleader. She is now enraged and out for blood. Mine.
3. High school might as well be Mars. My best friend has been replaced by an alien, and I see red all the time. (Mars is red and “seeing red” means being angry—get it?)
Here are some other vocab words that describe my life: Inadequate. Insufferable. Intolerable.
(Don’t know what they mean? Look them up yourself.)
(Sorry. That was rude.)
I just started reading it yesterday and I really love it. This is the kind of book that each of us can relate to, in one way or another. It’s a quick read too, I just started yesterday and I’m almost halfway through it.
What about you? What are you reading right now? Share your thoughts in the comment below.
There is some major teen angst there, but sometimes there is nothing wrong in being an adult and enjoying a teen angst read. My thought anyways. I am reading the first Anita Blake book right now and I am a bit..on the fence about it.
very well said! I so agree with you. not familiar with anita blake though, imma check out her books now 😀 thanks for visiting 😀
The excerpt you shared makes me want to hear more from Rose. The author definitely has the teen voice down. 🙂
it is a very nice book.. hope you like it 🙂
That’s quite a good teen angst voice. Like.

isn’t it great to be reading a book you are loving?

Hmm I think I might like this one, it sort of sounds like an early Jennifer Echols novel!

You like it and it is a quick read. Both very good things. Thanks for visiting.
